Better Letter

I wrote a letter
and soon felt better.
I wrote a word
and heard a bird.
A sentence soon followed.
A snowstorm mellowed.
The paragraph completed.
The Tyrant was defeated.
A story developed
and the horses galloped.
A novel was written
and people were smitten.
So you start with a letter
and soon you´ll feel better.

The truth is Hope is a babe in my arms
yelling my ears off
The truth is Hope is a small child
prone to scars at the knees and ellbows
The truth is Hope is a teenager
whose moods swing all over the place
The truth is Hope is that twen
that suddenly is very afraid
The truth is Hope is middle-aged
and kind of disillusioned
The truth is Hope when old
lives on, only by being blind
The truth is Hope will be
reborn tomorrow
